New artistic director a coup for the Everyman

THE historic Everyman Palace Theatre has appointed internationally acclaimed British-born director Michael Barker-Caven as its new artistic director.

New artistic director a coup for the Everyman

Mr Barker-Caven, who has worked extensively in London’s West End and directed dozens of award-winning shows while based in Ireland for 15 years, will take over from Pat Talbot in September after 10 years in the role.

His appointment is seen as a major coup for the 650- seat Cork venue.
