YET another bank holiday weekend saw carnage on the roads as four people died in accidents in Wexford, Kerry and Cork.

In Wexford, two young men, Robert Byrne, 18, and Kevin Rafter, 17, both from the Ballindaggin area, died when the Peugeot 306 in which they were travelling smashed into the entrance of a house at Coolcarney at 3am yesterday morning.

The occupants of the house and neighbours rushed to the scene when they heard the loud bang.
