Three women held hostage in foiled tiger kidnapping

AN armed gang held three women hostage during the latest tiger kidnapping.

Four men, wearing balaclavas and armed with crowbars and a sledge hammer, forced their way into the home of Anne Ennis, a post office assistant in Prosperous, Co Kildare, shortly after 1am yesterday.

Ms Ennis’s mother, aged in her 70s, and sister were also in the house and were locked into a bedroom guarded by two men.
