Two quizzed over cannabis find

TWO men are being questioned over the seizure of €84,000 of cannabis plants.

Seven premises were searched by gardaí during a series of raids which began early yesterday.

Gardaí said six raids were in south Leitrim and one in Elphin, Co Roscommon.

Two men in their 50s were arrested and are being detained in Carrick on Shannon Garda station.

It is understood the operation involved the National Drugs Unit along with garda anti-drug units in Cavan, Monaghan and Leitrim combined.
