74% of motorists snack while driving

THREE out of four motorists in Ireland snack while driving, increasing their risk of losing more than the pickle from their burger, a study shows.

The AA Motor Insurance study found almost 74% of the 22,000 motorists who participated in the poll ate or drank behind the wheel occasionally.

And it found over 3% of motorists eat or drink (a non-alcoholic beverage) while driving every day.
