A RED C poll has found that, while we remain cautious about our personal finances, the outlook for the economy is not as bad as people anticipated.

The RED C credit crunch tracking poll has been conducted since July 2008. It measures how people are coping with the recession, consumer confidence and product categories affected.

However, it is worth noting that the latest poll was conducted before the final cost of bailing out Anglo Irish Bank was revealed by Finance Minister Brian Lenihan at the end of last month.
