Gardaí arrest nine dissidents

AS part of ongoing investigations into dissident republican activity gardaí arrested nine men in operations in counties Louth, Waterford and Wexford.

Gardaí from specialist units assisted by gardaí from the south-eastern and northern regions were involved in the operation.

In one of the searches an area was sealed off in Co Wexford and a number of items believed to be components of explosive devices were recovered.
