Junior Cert parents warned on legal highs

PARENTS in Kerry have been warned about the dangers of legal highs, which young people may be tempted to take to celebrate Junior Cert results, due out shortly.

The Killarney Drugs Liaison Committee, which annually circulates substance abuse literature to parents and students, has this year included a brochure on legal highs for the first time.

Committee chairman and retired garda Cathal Walshe said the drugs issue had changed a lot in the past year.
