PARENTS in Kerry have been warned about the dangers of legal highs, which young people may be tempted to take to celebrate Junior Cert results, due out shortly.

CYCLING enthusiasts have been urged to get on their bikes over the coming weeks in an attempt to help raise vital funds for a string of essential Kerry charities.

Detectives were tonight investigating the murder of a 17-year-old less than a quarter of a mile from his family home.

UPWARDS of 2,000 cyclists, including some from the US, are expected to take part in one of Ireland’s major one-day charity events.
