Crowley’s brother killed as five die in crashes

THE brother of Cork Fianna Fáil MEP Brian Crowley was one of five people killed in road accidents over the Christmas holiday period.

Flor Crowley died after the car in which he, his wife Aideen and three young daughters were travelling struck a ditch on the Bandon to Timoleague road shortly after midday yesterday.

While the 42-year-old from outside Bandon was declared dead at the scene, the rest of his family are understood to have avoided serious injury.
