Daddy raiding the kids’ piggy bank to pay for overindulgence

OPPOSITION bailiffs again tried to repossess Government Buildings last night as Brian Cowen was reduced to reaching for the kiddies’ piggy banks.

After running-up national debts of some €26bn, the credit-crazy Taoiseach’s financial management skills could be described as slightly lacking, but, of course, it’s not his fault – he was just doing it for the kids.

And now it’s payback time, as those smug little toddlers, tetchy ’tweens and their benefit-happy parents were called on to give this Government yet another dig-out.
