O’Donoghue will ‘definitely’ stand for re-election in Kerry

A RETIRED Fianna Fáil TD for Kerry South yesterday said outgoing Ceann Comhairle John O’Donoghue will “definitely” stand for re-election in the constituency.

John O’Leary, a FF deputy from 1966 to 1997, said he had been talking on the telephone to Mr O’Donoghue, on Thursday evening.

“He informed me he is definitely standing again for re-election and wants to leave it up to the people of south Kerry to decide whether it was right to get him out of office without a hearing,” Mr O’Leary said.
