Final water test needed to lift notice

TODAY is D-day for crucial water quality test results following an E.coli contamination scare in part of Cork city’s water supply.

A boil water notice has been in effect for up to 600 households on the city’s northside since last Thursday when the bug was first discovered.

The city council has spent the last few days flushing the system supplying Knocknaheeny.
