Children get 160 behaviour warnings

Figures released to the Irish Examiner show that 160 antisocial behaviour warnings – the first step in the three-stage ASBO system – were issued to children until the end of April.

This brings the total number of official warnings issued to children since the legislation was introduced in March 2007 to 804. Twelve formal good behaviour contracts, used only in the case of children, have been entered into, and three behaviour orders (Asbos) have been issued to children by the courts.
