Gardaí seize €8m of heroin

DRUGS which may have a street value of €8 million were discovered as part of a major crackdown on organised crime in Dublin.

The discovery of 10kg of heroin with an estimated street value of between e2m and e8m, depending on its purity, was made when gardaí stopped and searched a car in the Bayside Crescent area of Sutton shortly after 12pm yesterday.

Two men, aged 43 and 23 years, were arrested in the course of the operation.
