Widespread condemnation across political spectrum

THERE was widespread condemnation of the double murder across the political community yesterday.

President Mary McAleese expressed her shock and dismay at the attack on the army base, and condemned the violence in the “strongest possible terms”.

She said her thoughts and prayers were with the families of those who had been killed and with the injured.
