Man questioned on Limerick death

GARDAÍ were continuing to question a man last night in connection with the death of a man whose body was found at an apartment in Limerick city on Thursday morning.

It is understood the body of Brendan McEvoy, 50, was found with visible injuries on stairs at Cherrydale Orchard, on the Dublin Road.

Gardaí at Henry Street investigating Mr McEvoy’s death believe the Carlow native had been drinking with another man and may have been assaulted.
