Arrests in Carrick-on-Suir after parking meter thefts

Thieves have targeted parking meters in various towns including Clonmel, Cahir and Carrick-on-Suir over the last year, with the latest incident happening last week in Carrick.

It is believed the culprits have used a drill to cut through the underside of the local authority-owned and operated meters to bypass a lock mechanism. They can then remove the coins from inside.
