THE journalist who exposed United States military atrocities in Vietnam and Iraq launched a scathing attack on US President George W Bush and warned his intentions towards Iran would end in catastrophe.

Veteran investigative reporter Seymour Hersh told a gathering in Dublin last night Mr Bush had a “science fiction” view of the world and had “crazy” ideas about how to solve international problems.

“What we have with this president is the most radical president we have ever had. He is an unguided missile. He is uneducable. You cannot shake him out of anything — he believes what he believes. He thinks the solution to Iraq is Iran which is really terrifying.”
