City bans genetically modified food and crops
City councillors voted this week in favour of a Green Party motion to promote and maintain the city as a GM-free zone.
The Minister for Food and Horticulture, Trevor Sargent, said the move will help protect the economic interest of Ireland’s food and farming future.
