There are growing concerns of legal problems involving gardaí who might be accused of failing to co-operate with the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission.

Gardaí claim they have not been trained in how to have day-to-day interactions with commission investigators. The Garda Representative Association’s John Egan said: “There is confusion and anxiety as to our rights and responsibilities.”
