Thieves posing as late-night revellers rob city pub

TWO thieves, posing as late-night revellers, got away with more than €10,000 from a well-known Limerick night spot.

When Nestors bar in O’Connell Street closed early yesterday morning after a busy night, two men emerged from the back of the premises and staged the robbery in which they took most of the weekend takings.

One put a knife to the throat of a staff member and demanded the takings from the cash register in the main bar area.
