THE Government has been criticised for not doing enough to make thermal treatment, which can include incineration, a part of its national waste strategy.

Policy advisory Forfás yesterday published an analysis of waste management policy in which it laid down details of how the country’s waste management policy is failing the business community.

The report said the overall waste management strategy fell far behind competitor countries in meeting the waste management needs of the business community.
