Government’s NDP launch cost taxpayer €340,000

THE launch of the Government’s National Development Plan (NDP) in Dublin Castle last month cost the taxpayer a staggering €340,000, it emerged last night.

Over a quarter of a million euro was spent on producing, printing and translating the NDP document, outlining the Government’s plans to spend €184 billion over seven years.

An additional €75,000 covered the production of a multimedia resource for use at the launch, development of the NDP logo, design and construction of backdrops, screen and lighting, photographic services, catering and the hiring of an audio-visual technician.
