Resounding success of Harley rally paves way for another motorbike event

KILLARNEY, which hosted a highly successful Harley Davidson rally during the summer, could be set for another major motorbike event next year.

The tourist playground has been earmarked as a likely venue for a new European bike festival called Ireland Bike Week 2007.

However, sponsorship is needed and Killarney Town Council has been asked by Bernard O’Reilly, one of the chief organisers, to provide €10,000-€15,000 to secure the event.
