Dan O’Connor hails from the other side of the River Blackwater, in Kerry, while his wife, Noreen, who was born in the village, in Cork, is and always has been “out and out Cork”.

Dan is an enthusiastic Kerry supporter who rarely misses a match in which the green and gold are playing, the most recent being the All-Ireland quarter-final against Armagh.
