TRAVELLERS are facing a blizzard of add-on costs when booking flights on low-cost airlines, consumer champions warned last night.

Aer Lingus has become the latest airline to announce extra charges for baggage, bumping up the cost to passengers of up to €8 per bag from January.

In future, Aer Lingus passengers on short-haul flights will find three extra charges on top of the advertised low-cost fare.
