City officials not behind mysterious Lidl document

CITY officials did not prepare a document circulated in Cork’s City Hall last week which called for changes to the development plan.

It was mistakenly reported last Friday that city planning officials had presented the document to councillors at a committee meeting last Monday.

The 21-page report said the development plan was preventing retail competition in parts of the northside and outlined 13 reasons why councillors should back Lidl plans for a neighbourhood centre in Churchfield.
