Good net result for accountant soccer players

TEAMS of number crunchers will be putting in tough tackles in Limerick at the weekend when 500 accountants swap calculators for football.

They will be taking part in a European soccer competition for accountants.

In all, 71 teams of men and women from Limerick, Dublin, Britain, Denmark and Germany will converge on the University of Limerick on Saturday for the Grant Thornton European Cup tournament.
