Consultation on one-off housing

The aim of the pre-planning process, which can involve on-site consultations between planning officials and applicants, is to nip difficulties in the bud.

It may also save applicants money as they will be told at an early stage if their application is likely to be successful, or not. Drawing up and submitting a planning application can cost up to 2,500, according to councillors.
