Dolores will have fond memories of ‘05
The 46-year-old mother of six will have fond memories of the year 2005 in which she won €115 million.
She spent Christmas with her husband Adrian and their children.
Now she can look forward to moving into her new €1.7m home in January. The home overlooks Lough Derg and decorators will soon begin work before she moves from her St Patrick’s Road address in Limerick city.
Her close friend, publican Paddy Tobin, said yesterday: “Dolores had Christmas at home and it will be the same for the New Year.”
One of her sons, Gary, was arrested and held for a short time by Limerick gardaí following a street row on December 23, which involved a son of murdered crime boss Kieran Keane.
No charges were preferred.
It is believed that the alleged injured party was not willing to make a statement to gardaí.
Gary was the centre of a garda security alert in September when he moved out of his Castletroy home on the advice of gardaí who received information about a possible abduction.
He moved back within days and since then his mother has bought a new €350,000 euro home for him in Castleconnell.
After collecting her winning cheque for €115,436,125 on August 4 last, Dolores ‘parked’ her winnings in a deposit account for a six-month fixed period at a Limerick bank.
She is earning over €8,000 day in interest from the account.
Dolores plans to move to Co Clare early in 2005.
Set on a private 38-acre estate, her now home covers a massive 10,000 sq ft at Ogonelloe.
Meanwhile, last night’s EuroMillions jackpot was heading towards the €75 million mark.
