Gardaí arrest six in Sligo drive-by shooting case
Three men and three women from Co Sligo, all aged from 19 to 27, were arrested in the morning.
A garda spokesman said the six were being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at various garda stations in Sligo and Leitrim.
Mr McGinley, 26, was shot dead by a motorcycle pillion passenger as he sat in his Hiace van on Grattan Street in the town centre on April 28.
Gardaí believe that a long-running local family feud sparked the attack on the father of one.
