Hobbs and Ó hAilpín favourites for major award

FINANCIAL guru Eddie Hobbs and All-Ireland hurling hero Seán Óg Ó hAilpín have been installed by the bookies as joint favourites to lift the title of Cork Person of the Year, at the annual awards ceremony which will be held in the Rochestown Park Hotel today.

Munster and Ireland fly-half Ronan O’Gara follows in third spot and the other nine monthly award winners are back the field.

Sources close to the contest have predicted a surprise could be on the cards.
