Award for Irish film

AN RTÉ documentary about the horrific torture of an Irish priest in South America has won a top award at an international film festival.

The documentary about how Cork missionary Fr Pat Rice was brutally tortured by Argentina’s death squads in 1976 alongside his future wife won the Gold Remi Award as the top Religious Programme at the WorldFest Film Festival in Houston in Texas.
