Money owed to Gama ‘should be used to pay workers’

STATE money owed to construction firm Gama should be used to pay workers’ outstanding overtime, Socialist Party leader Joe Higgins told the Dáil yesterday.

Speaking during leader’s questions Mr Higgins said lost wages discovered in previously unknown Dutch bank accounts did not include millions in overtime payments withheld from workers.

“The hidden wages which we fished out of a bank in Amsterdam are being transferred to family accounts but there is a long way to go.
