ONE-IN-FOUR victims of crime rates local gardaí as poor or very poor, a survey has revealed.

The study from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) says the number of victims reporting crime is dropping.

Almost half of people physically assaulted refuse to tell gardaí, a third because they believe gardaí "could or would do nothing".
