Security tight at Lotto winner’s home
As Dolores’s pals enjoyed their all-expenses paid holiday-of-a-lifetime courtesy of their millionaire friend, security specialists were transforming her modest Limerick bungalow on St Patrick’s Road into a fortress.
Hi-tech CCTV cameras were fitted at the front and back of the house along with a new alarm system.
Dolores’s son, Dean, helped workers build a new stone wall at the front of the house. Work is also under way to install an electronic security gate.
But before the work started, members of Dolores’s close circle of friends got a phone call to tell them of her plan to bring them on a mystery holiday.
Most of the girlfriends were in the Track Bar with her the night she discovered she’d won the jackpot.
They were only told to bring a toothbrush and their passport to an Irish airport - the holiday destination was not revealed.
Dolores, who scooped e115 million in Europe’s largest lotto jackpot at the start of the month, hasn’t been back at her home since her win. She’s been using her winnings to enjoy a jet-setting lifestyle. She hired a 12-seat private jet to fly family and close friends from Dublin to London then on to the Costa del Sol where she and husband Adrian are understood to be checking out properties.
But in her first interview last week, Dolores said she hoped she could return to her home in Limerick soon and get on with her life.
