Over 50% parents smack their children, survey finds

MORE than half of parents smack their children, a survey conducted by a parenting website has found.

The study also shows 86% of parents did not believe slapping works long-term as a form of discipline.

The poll of over 500 parents by RollerCoaster.ie found most tend try a more positive approach first.
