UP to 40 Irish people are planning to sue a Swiss pharmaceutical firm, claiming the company’s anti-acne drug has caused psychiatric disorders such as depression and suicide.

Roaccutane, manufactured by Roche, has been blamed for more than 150 suicides and over 300 cases of attempted and contemplated suicide worldwide.

The suicides of two Irish people have also been blamed on the drug.
