A SCARCITY of building land in Kerry towns is hampering plans to provide more houses for returning emigrants.

The Kerry Emigrant Support Housing Association has recently provided five apartments at Tansley Court, Caherina, Tralee, but has demand for many more.

Many of the people in need of housing are elderly and living in poor condition in British cities. Some may have left Kerry 40 to 50 years ago.
