The waste came from one of GlaxoSmithKline’s (GSK) production facilities in Ringaskiddy.

The pharmaceutical giant admitted yesterday to a major waste management blunder. For eight months, waste due for incineration was actually piped to a treatment plant that discharged into the harbour.
