Dublin pop star to topple Britney

RISING pop star George Murphy looks set to knock the princess of pop Britney Spears from the top of the charts this weekend.

The debut single from the 17-year-old Dublin singer, who competed in RTÉ’s You’re a Star competition, has been flying off the shelves.

The HMV mid-week sales figures show the gap between the newcomer’s The Moon Going Home and Britney’s Everytime has narrowed.
