Gardaí warn of quality forged €200 notes

GARDAÍ fear an organised gang of Eastern Europeans will try to blitz Munster in the coming days with the best quality forged notes ever brought into this country.

Yesterday, 12 of the dud €200 notes were passed onto unsuspecting businesses in Limerick and Mitchelstown. Gardaí say they are the best note forgeries they have come across.

The notes even pass the ultraviolet scanners which most shops and pubs use to verify cash.
