How to add the 'Irish Examiner' as a preferred source on Google

Google has introduced Preferred Sources, a new feature which gives news readers more sway over which media content they receive in their search results amid the rise of AI overview and mode.
Here's all you need to know about this and how you can use it to see more coverage from the Irish Examiner in your Google search.
The new concept will allow readers to customise their search results in order to receive more news results from their favourite or most trusted source.
This means users can use their Google account either on their desktop or mobile to find the Irish Examiner's content in their search results.
When you select us among your preferred sources, you will start to see more of the Irish Examiner's articles being prominently displayed in your Top Stories when we have published relevant news stories for your search.
The will appear much more frequently in the Top Stories and in a dedicated 'From your sources' section at the top of the search results page.
You will still be able to see content from other news sites, and you can manage your selections at any time.
Google allow users to select as many sources as they choose.
While logged into Google, search for any topic that is in the news

Click the card icon that appears to the right of the top stories section in your feed.

In the Choose Your Preferred Sources section, which would then pop up, search for the Irish Examiner/irishexaminer.com and click the option.

Click the reload results box after marking the Irish Examiner as your Preferred Source.

The should pop up as your top trusted news source when you search for news content.
