Renault revs up business as 2016 closes
And Renault says 2017 is looking extremely positive with order take up 25% on this time last year for new cars. Vans have also been doing well with orders up 10% for January registrations.
Renault’s successful 2016 was in part due to sales of the new Kadjar, the ever popular Clio, and the introduction of the all-new Mégane as well as phase two of the Dacia Duster.
The Renault Captur continues to claim pole position in its segment. Renault has also had a very busy year with a number of new models being introduced — including Mégane, new Mégane Grand Coupé and Mégane Sport Tourer.
Orders are also in for the all-new Scenic and Grand Scenic and January will also see the arrival of the phase two Clio. Group subsidiary Dacia will celebrate five years in Ireland in 2017 and in January will see the arrival of the phase two models of the Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and Logan MCV.
Almost 4,500 Dacia vehicles were sold to date in 2016 with over 2,000 Dusters, almost 2,000 Sandero and Sandero Stepway and almost 350 of the bootylicious Logan MPV.
2017 will be another big year for Renault Group, with not only the youngest model range in the market, but also the introduction of the all-new Koleos, Alaskan and ZOE Z.E 40 which will see a significant increase in the range, and the introduction of a full purchase option for customers.
