Biggest Mini in brand's history to arrive in Ireland next year
With more space throughout, a range of four new engines and connected technologies, the new Mini Countryman will go on sale here — on the road — from €33,580.
Also for the first time, Mini will be offering a plug-in hybrid model with the new Cooper S E Countryman ALL4. Prices for the plug-in hybrid model will be announced in due course.
More excitingly, the rest of the new Countryman line-up will be powered by an all-new range of TwinPower Turbo engines with outputs of between 136 to 192bhp and 220 to 400Nm of torque.
The second-generation Cooper S Countryman ALL4 with 8-speed Steptronic transmission sprints in 7.2 seconds from zero to 100km/h — making it 0.9 seconds faster than its predecessor model. Fuel consumption reaches 4.4 litres/100km and CO2 emissions drop as low as 113g/km.
The new Countryman is available with both manual and Steptronic gearboxes and with front- and all-wheel drive.
Reflecting customer demand for high-end features, equipment levels on the new model have been bolstered versus the outgoing model. Additions to the standard equipment list include all sorts of tech stuff.
Personalisation options, naturally, will be many and varied.
