A charity fun day in Cork city’s newest public park is set to go ahead this weekend after technical insurance issues were overcome.

A major family fun-day which was due to take place in Cork's newest public park has been cancelled at the last minute.

The first phase of a huge public park on the site of Cork City’s former landfill is set to open to the public next year.
