Rail services in the south and west of the country are disrupted again this morning due to continuing unofficial strike action by some drivers.

Train drivers based in Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Galway and Dublin Heuston are still refusing to work after Irish Rail introduced new city-link trains today.

Rail users' lobby group Platform 11 has condemned today's unofficial strike by a number of Iarnód Éireann drivers which have crippled rail services in Dublin, Cork and Limerick, but said it was not shocked by the dispute.
