ACTIVITY levels in the Irish marketplace have picked up for Treasury Holdings — who say deals are being done at prices that enable commercial tenants to make money.

NAMA said it is exploring options to provide finance for commercial and home mortgages but only at the low prices people are willing to pay.

NAMA is planning to give loans to potential homebuyers in a bid to kickstart the property market.

Dublin: International commercial real estate firm, CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) has said that letting and sales activity in the Dublin office market during the first quarter of the year reached 48,275 square metres.

Dublin: Google has acquired the two Dublin-based buildings that form its current European Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters. The search engine giant had been renting the buildings on Barrow Street since 2004.

NAMA’s chairman said that the agency recovered all of its costs on the sale of the Montevetro building to Google for €99.9m.

NAMA has distanced itself from its perceived role as a “toxic bank” saying it has no interest in “hoarding assets longer than necessary”.

GOOGLE, the global internet group, has bought Dublin’s tallest office building for €99.9 million from NAMA, the country’s bad bank.

Google has acquired the Montevetro office building on Barrow Street from Real Estate Opportunities plc (REO). Treasury Holdings is the investment manager for REO and a majority shareholder in the company.
