A swimming instructor has become the first person to complete the gruelling open water swim from Ballycotton to Ardmore on the south east coast.

It’s 20 years this month since Ballycotton in East Cork was in utter upheaval, during the filming of the Hollywood movie Divine Rapture, starring Marlon Brando, John Hurt, Johnny Depp, Debra Winger and Angeline Ball. 

Because of its coastal location and sea views, this family home near Whiting Bay in West Waterford might possibly become a holiday home.
